About Share Swap Swish
Hello!
Share Swap Swish started in early 2022 as a way to help local parents clear out the clothing their little ones have grown out of, and find the things they need!
We run this free clothes swap 3 times a year, and aim to help reduce the cost of buying new clothing for our small people, and to reduce the environmental cost of producing new clothes.
We are a small group who run Share Swap Swish - all of us are volunteers who hope to help the community and the environment!
Come along to the next event or
get in touch to find out more!
Not in Sherwood and want to run your own?
If you would like to set up your own Share Swap Swish, we can help you get started!
We are putting together a guide to running a swap, and can send you infomation and marketing material to make it easy to run a local swap
How it works
If you have been to one before, you know the basics: bring along your little ones clothes and books that they no longer need, and get tokens to swap for something else!
-
We ask that everyone brings their clothes for swapping already sorted into the different sizes.
(It helps us get them out quickly!) -
Swapping starts at 10am and ends at 12pm - so last entry will be at 11.50am to make sure everyone has time to swap
-
People who are after newborn clothes and dont have anything to swap yet - you are welcome to come along and take what you need!
-
It is free entry, so everyone can use the Swap!
If you find the event useful and can afford to, we hope you will donate to help keep us going.
We will have places for cash donations at the entry and at the tea kiosk.
Where we are
We are now at the
Sherwood Methodist Church for each event.
It is accessible for wheelchairs, prams and pushchairs.
The swap takes place in the main hall (enter through the automatic doors at the front entrance), with tea and coffee available (for cash donations) in the Kitchen Space.
We also have a small breakout room with a few toys available for children and their adults!
